The Public Finance Investment Banking Analyst will assist in the origination, structuring, and execution of municipal bond financings for public entities. This role involves working closely with senior bankers to provide financial and strategic advice to clients, as well as conducting financial analysis and preparing presentations for clients and investors.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Conduct financial analysis to support the structuring and execution of municipal bond financings for public entities.

  • Prepare pitch books, offering documents, and other client presentations to support business development efforts and marketing initiatives.

  • Assist in the preparation of rating agency presentations and interact with rating agencies on behalf of clients.

  • Conduct market research and monitor industry trends to identify potential new business opportunities.

  • Work collaboratively with senior bankers and other team members to provide strategic advice to clients and execute financing transactions.

  • Develop and maintain financial models and perform other ad-hoc financial analyses as needed.

  • Support the due diligence process and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the timely execution of transactions.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.

  • 1-2 years of experience in investment banking, finance, or related field.

  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members and clients.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask and prioritize competing demands.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • Knowledge of municipal finance and bond markets is preferred, but not required.

  • Series 79 license (or ability to obtain within a reasonable period) is required.
