The Public Finance Investment Banking Managing Director is responsible for leading the firm's public finance investment banking practice. This role involves overseeing a team of bankers, originating new business opportunities, managing client relationships, developing financial solutions, and leading transaction execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the firm's public finance investment banking strategy in collaboration with senior management.

• Originate new business opportunities and manage existing client relationships to generate revenue for the firm.

• Lead the development and maintenance of financial models to support the structuring and execution of complex municipal bond financings for public entities.

• Prepare pitch books, offering documents, and other client presentations to support business development efforts and marketing initiatives.

• Oversee the due diligence process and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely execution of transactions.

• Manage a team of junior bankers and delegate tasks as needed to ensure successful transaction execution.

• Interact with rating agencies, underwriters, and other external stakeholders on behalf of clients.

• Monitor industry trends and provide strategic advice to clients based on market conditions and financial analysis.

• Work closely with senior bankers to develop creative financial solutions for clients and negotiate transaction terms.

• Lead the development of marketing materials and participate in industry conferences and events.

• Participate in the recruiting, training, and development of junior team members.

• Act as a point of contact for clients throughout the transaction process and manage overall client relationships.

• Oversee the management of the firm's public finance investment banking business, including revenue generation, budgeting, and staffing decisions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.

• 12+ years of experience in investment banking, finance, or related field, with a focus on municipal finance.

• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members and clients.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask and prioritize competing demands.

• Ability to lead and manage teams, including coaching and mentoring junior team members.
